A highly popular flat roofing option is the use of Glass Reinforced Polyester (GRP). This material is created by incorporating fine glass fibres into plastic, resulting in enhanced strength and durability. Once the appropriate decking is in place, our skilled roofers will begin the installation process by applying a layer of resin, which acts as an accelerant. Fibreglass matting is then laid on top, followed by a second coat of resin to ensure a seamless finish. One of the flat roof coverings we offer involves the application of three layers of bitumen, which are melted together onto a prepared surface. Typically, these layers consist of a vapour control sheet, reinforced felt, and a mineral-coated covering. For residential properties, three sheets are generally required, while two sheets are sufficient for external buildings, garages, and sheds in Preston, Blackpool, or nearby areas.
